General Info

Evergeren Golf Club plays Thursday League at Willows Run Golf Course Redmond, Washington.  We play Weekend tournaments 2-3 weekends a month at a variety of western Washington regional courses.  We also host two season-long match play bracket tournaments, one an individual tournament and one Four Ball (two man best ball team). Competition is fun and friendly, with a small prize fund.  We welcome all handicap ranges.  Camaraderie is key to our club members.

We invite you to join us for our Thursday night series, our Weekend events, or our Match Play events.  New potential members and guests are welcome to join us for a round or two as a guest.

Prizes: We typically pay out to 33% of players in stroke play events and 25% in Match Play events. Prize fund is redeemable as credit at all Western Washington Pro Golf Discount stores.

BackgroundEvergreen Golf Club was founded in 2021 and is led by the same team that formerly ran Willows Men’s Club.  We have created what we hope will be a bigger and better Club, one that incorporates the best of the old while adding lots of new events, along with some new twists, all coming with a new name.

Mission Statement

Evergreen Golf Club provides a framework for competitive golf for players of all GHIN Handicap indexes in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our priority is to approach all events with a balance of convenience, fairness, and best practices in all areas of competitive play.

Standards of Play and Competitive Expectations

  • During all events treat fellow members, officials, staff, and the course with respect
  • Be on time, keep up with the pace of play, and be good company in your foursome
  • Repair your pitch marks, replace divots, rake bunkers & leave course in better condition
  • Put your mobile phones on silent / vibrate on the golf course – emergency calls only
  • Cheating on the course, reporting false scores, theft, and the like, will result in suspension of membership
  • Rules debates are to be resolved quickly. If need be, play a 2nd ball and resolve after round (stroke play)
  • Complaints, protests, and grievances should be sent to the board in writing at our e-mail
  • Contentious or disruptive behavior will be given a warning.  Repeated complaints may result in suspension or conclusion of membership.
  • All foursomes will submit accurate and timely scores using both paper and the Live Tourney app
    • Each foursome is required to record all scores in Live Tourney during the round
    • All scores submitted to the tournament director on paper and Live Tourney are final

Pace of Play

  • Pace of play is always an issue – Keep up with the group ahead of you.
  • Our contracts with each course require that we maintain a pace of play standard or we will not be able to schedule future rounds.
  • When you lose sight of the group ahead of you, you are out of position – speed up!
  • All players in each foursome are to communicate pace and play ready golf
  • Slow play will be penalized – read event rules and don’t complain when strokes are added
  • Speak up in your group, find wayward shots, rake, place gear toward next hole, etc.

Avoiding Spam Filters - How to get Round Signup and other emails from Evergreen Golf Club

EGC uses three different email systems to contact members:

  1. Email directly from EvergreenGC@outlook.com.  This is how you contact the tournament managers and the board.  We occasionally may reply from this email or send a broad email blast using this account.
  2. Live Tourney - New for 2026 - Our primary tournament signup and management system for 2026.  Email for event registration will come from noreply@livetourney.com
  3. Golf Genius - Golf Genius, provided by USGA, provides our primary web portal and was used as our primary tournament software from 2022 to 2025.  We will still use it for occasional emails to the entire club and may continue to use for special purposes.  Email comes from noreply@golfgenius.com

How to prevent Evergreen Golf Club emails from being blocked by Junk Mail filters:

  • There is a possibility that new emails from Evergreen Golf Club on LiveTourney will go to your Junk Mail folder.
  • Please do the following to prevent emails from going to your junk mail folder.
    • 1. (Most Important) Add each of the above three email addresses to your contact list, especially the new LiveTourney email.  Please create a separate contact for each.  Most email systems will treat email from anyone in your contact list as not-spam.
    • 2. (Optional but Good) Open your Junk Mail filter and add each of these email addresses to your safe senders list.
      • For GMail, under settings, Filters, you can create a "filter" with the email addresses above and the filter should be set to "Never send to Spam."
      • In Classic Outlook – In the Home bar, “Delete” group, select Block and then Junk Mail Options.  Click the Safe Senders tab and then Add button.
      • In Outlook on the Web – click the Gear at the top right for Settings, then Mail / Junk Mail and click “Add Safe Sender.”
    • 3. (Advanced) Check your junk mail block list to make sure golfgenius.com and livetourney.com are not on your block list.
    • 4. (Extra Advanced) Send a mail with "Please Delete" in the title to each of the above addresses.  You can click on the above email links to create the email with the title pre-filled.  The act of sending an email to the address from your account helps mark it as valid.

  • Please watch your junk mail folder for newsletters and tournament signup emails to make sure they are not getting blocked.

Getting a GHIN (USGA Golf Handicap Index Network) Handicap

You will need a GHIN number to participate in EGC Tournaments and events.

The simplest way is to join EGC directly using the Click Here to Join Now link above, This will sign you up for Evergreen Golf Club and include a GHIN membership. Your GHIN will be activated immediately.

If you have a GHIN from another club or service, it will need to be activated prior to participating in EGC events.

Establishing a new handicap:

Once you get your GHIN membership you need a minimum of 54 holes played to establish a handicap. You may play any combination of 9 or 18 holes for the 54 holes.  For the initial handicap, 9 hole scores will not be converted and counted as 18 holes.  If you have the scores from rounds you’ve played within the past 15 months, you can post them to GHIN and it will give you a handicap 24 hours later.  If you do have a scoring history, we encourage you to post as many scores as possible from the past 12 months (maximum up to the 20 most recent) as the more scores posted, the better the handicap estimate.  Please don’t go beyond the previous 12 months as the scores aren’t current.

If you don’t have any scores you can post, then you’ll play your first few rounds with a 0 handicap until we can establish your level of play.

Payout Schedule - When do I get my winnings at Pro Golf Discount?

Tournament Winnings are via credit in Western Washington Pro Golf Discount Stores, good for merchandise.

Payouts are typically available for your use around the 20th of the month AFTER the month you won.  For example, if you have winnings in June, they will be available around July 20th.

The reason it takes a few weeks is because we submit all the prize awards from a given month in one batch to Pro Golf.  We collect and review the results shortly after end of the month.  It usually takes a few days for us to process and review the monthly results, and then we allow Pro Golf Discount another few days to post the results to the credit system. Thank you for your understanding.
